Sizes - the difference is pretty straight forward
The AKC (American Kennel Club) only recognizes three poodle sizes. Toy, Miniature and Standard. Over the years the term "Teacup" used to refer to a small Toy Poodle came about.

Miniature poodle sizes are in between Toy and Standard.

Then the term "Royal" was used to refer to a larger Standard, in addition to the term "Moyen" which is used to refer to a smaller Standard.
Here at our Poodle Home, we came up with the term "pony-sized" that refers to our super-sized or Giant poodles that are so very difficult to find! We have been raised around horses our entire life... therefore that is why we started calling these Big Guys and Gals "Pony-sized" becasue they fit the bill!

A Big difference!
