CEDAR, one of our favorite girls ever!  Cedar is a nice dark red girl that came from a Rosie & Jake litter.

Cedar is a Beautiful Girl with inky black points and we noticed that she tends to pass these incredible genes on to her puppies.  Cedar is a "cookies & treats" girl  :)  When she is asked if she would like some "cookies & treats", she squints her eyes and I swear she smiles!

At 2 yrs old, Cedar stands a good 28" tall, and weighing 80 lbs.  Again, these large sized girls are hard to find.

Cedar is one of our puppies, we kept for our breeding program.

DNA TESTING for CEDAR, with clear / normal results that are relevant to the poodle breed.  This girl was also 'cleared' from many other tests genetic through Embark.

Degenerative Myelopathy, DM (SOD1A)

Neonatal Encephalopathy with Seizures, NEWS (ATF2)

Osteochondrodysplasia, Skeletal Dwarfism (SLC13A1)

Progressive Retinal Atrophy, prcd (PRCD Exon 1)

Von Willebrand Disease Type I, Type I vWD (VWF)

Chondrodystrophy and Intervertebral Disc Disease, CDDY/IVDD, Type I IVDD (FGF4 retrogene - CFA12)

GM2 Gangliosidosis (HEXB, Poodle Variant)

OFA (Orthopedic Foundation For Animals) found there was no evidence of hip dysplasia.  Consensus evaluation of Excellent, which is hard to find in any breed of dogs.   OFA #

Cedar & Henry had 13 PUPPIES!  A large litter, but everyone is doing great!  (you may notice in the following photos, after 'the first born photos') that Cedar's litter only has 10 puppies.  If we ever have puppies that are close to the same age and one litter is small, we will take puppies from a larger litter and put puppies in with the smaller litter.  Our momma poodles don't mid one bit!  They accept the puppies just fine and it is better for the puppies so they all get enough nourishment / momma's milk.  We put 3 of Cedar's puppies in with Elsie's litter.
